chocolate chip pudding cookies

don't these look yummy!

i made these cookies for jenny as part of a celebratory dinner awhile back. recently we wanted more so i made more! they were so delicious and suprisingly we still have some left over! i'm sure you can still find this on pinterest, but i'm going to show you my experience right now:)

chocolate chip pudding cookie ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup of softened butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cups of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cups of white sugar
  • 1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips
  • preheat oven to 375°

in a large mixing bowl you want to cream the white and brown sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and pudding mix together with a beater.

after you've done that then you'll want to add the eggs! raw eggs, yum. after that, you'll add the flour and baking soda. beat that realllly well. and last but not least add the chocolate chips and fold together.

finally, after you've done all that jazz refrigerate the batter. once it's all refrigerated and whatnot, get yourself a tablespoon and make little balls out of it and put them on the cookie sheet and let them bake for about 8 minutes. (you don't have to refirigerate them, but i got lazy that night and decided to finish making the rest that next afternoon. they come out soooo much cuter if you refrigerate the batter.)

i forgot to take a picture of them as soon as they came out of the oven but they look really weird. if you were to touch them your finger might go through them. due to the pudding mix being in the cookies they're EXTREMELY soft!

let them cool a little and then dig in! they're seriously the best chocolate chip cookies i've ever had!!! i'll never make them any other way. so delicious and they stay moist for like 5464897 days! if you like chewy cookies as i do, you'll love this recipe!

love these with a ferocious enjoyment!!!

happy late easter!

gelatin face mask.

this all started the other day when i was looking on pinterest and saw a dupe for at home Biore Pore Strips. of course i HAD to try it, since those strips are like $12 for 8 of them!

let me tell you some things about this before anyone tries it:
  • it smells horrible. almost like a mixture of old wet clothes left in the washer, horrible dog breath and rotten food. jenny also says "baby barf". not for the faint of heart.
  • this hurts to peel off. seriously. if i'm saying it hurts, it must. it hurts like stubbing a broken toe on a cement wall.
  • after you microwave it, you MUST work quickly or it will turn to it's solid gelatin form. gross and sticky.
all you need for this mask is:
  • one tablespoon of unflavored colorless gelatin mix. if you get the knox brand like i did, it comes with four packets of gelatin in it. one packet = a tablespoon!
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of milk
  • small bowl
  • spoonula
  • microwave!

first, you'll want to pour the gelatin mix into the bowl.

now, you'll want to add the milk.

stir, stir, stir!

until you get something like this, and don't worry.
once you microwave it the consistency changes.

finally microwave for 10-15 seconds depending
on how creamy or thick/chunky you want it.

i wasn't able to take a picture of the what it looked like after it came out of the microwave since you have to work extremely quickly to ensure that it doesn't solidify on you and get really icky.

but this is what it looks like on your face:

myself.

frances.

jenny.

some places you'll want to avoid when applying to your face:
  • eyebrows!!! this is not a waxing kit!
  • hairline. it hurts something awful trying to pull it off your baby hairs!
  • SIDEBURNS!!! painful!
  • right under your eyes. try to only put it on the highest point of your cheekbones.

after you put it on, let it dry for 15 minutes. you can go longer if you want, it's not going to hurt you at all. now, you can either wait the whole 15 or more minutes or cheat like i did;)

i used my hair dryer!!! mine has different heat settings so i used the cool setting. also, if you have one that has the button to hold down for cool air that'll work as well. if you're hair dryer doesn't have any sort of cool setting, stick it out for as long as you can.

after it's fully dry you can start peeling. (it wont really look dry since it still glistens, but give it a feel. it's okay to touch it!)

it looks like my skin is coming off!

i though fran's looked interesting as well!

if it gets to be too much you can just wash it off with soap and water. i ended up having to leave some in my baby hairs because i DID NOT want to pull them out. this mask leaves your face sooooo absolutely soft it's unbelievable. i'm not sure yet how it works for acne since  i haven't used it that much. as soon as i start using it regularly i'll let y'all know how it does!

i hope you try this, and if you don't, i understand. also, i DID NOT create this, therefore i'm not taking credit for the idea. this post was just to show you how i did it and give some keypoints that she didn't mention in her post.

today was a day for jenny and i to be rebels! stay tuned to see how it's true!

see y'all later! xoxo
